FILLED – UPDATE: Confident, Spanish Speaking Nanny/Family Assistant in NW San Antonio (78256)

Amazing San Antonio family needs an experienced nanny to care for their 2-year old son and newborn sibling . This is a long-term position for the right candidate. Parents prefer a nanny to grow with the family for several years.  Ideally they want someone who can assist with household responsibilities, light housekeeping, running errands, transportation and child care. Both parents work from home and require a proactive, intuitive, confident professional to engage, nurture and enrich their children’s lives.  Mom will be very hands on when the new baby arrives until she transitions back to work. You must have a track record of being reliable, responsible, a strong work ethic, high integrity, trustworthiness, organization, and willing to support the parents values. The nanny should be decisive, intelligent, patient, warm, and nurturing. The busiest time for this family is in the evening between 5 and 7pm. 

Responsibilities:

  • Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment 
  • Light housekeeping
  • Meal preparation
  • Child’s laundry
  • Organizational skills to (include household and child’s areas)
  • Transportation from school to activities and home (car provided)
  • Running errands (grocery shopping etc.) as needed
  • Provide lovingly set boundaries and daily routines, collaborating with parents
  • Bathing, brushing teeth, dressing for bed, laying out clothes & repacking the backpack 
  • Communicating with parents about school notes, schedules and activities
  • Keeping track of supplies
  • Encourage age appropriate developmental activities
  • Provide opportunities for structured and unstructured play
  • Arts & crafts 

Schedule:

Start Date: ASAP

Full-time/Live-out, Monday-Friday 12pm-7pm, 35-40 hours per week

Occasional nights and weekends as needed

Requirements: 

  • 2-4+ years of childcare experience (ideally in a private home)
  • Experienced with infants and toddlers
  • Fluent in English & Spanish
  • Proper documentation to work in the U.S.
  • Minimum High School, College preferred
  • Verifiable references
  • Driver’s license
  • Good driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • CPR/1st Aid Certified
  • Punctual & highly reliable
  • Non-smoker
  • Vaccinated for COVID-19
  • Must follow the family’s requirements for COVID-19 safety
  • Background Investigation

Compensation

$25 per hour (DOE)

PTO: 2 weeks & holidays
