Here’s how the placement process works!

All applicants will be screened thoroughly. We will review your application, resume and supporting documentation. You will receive a call from a placement specialist to make sure you meet our requirements, explain our process to you and answer any questions you may have.

The magic (matching) begins! We evaluate your strengths, experience, personality, skills, availability, and education. We match you with a potential family who will be the best fit for you and send them your profile.

The family makes an offer of employment. We advise you and the family regarding a work agreement, negotiate your pay, benefits and start date. We refer the family to payroll and tax specialists.

We will develop your profile, compile all your documents, resumes, certifications, letters of reference. We will call to speak to your references. You will be scheduled for your interview with a placement specialist.

When a family expresses interest in you, interviews will be scheduled and coordinated by CTRN. Both parties will be sent the date, time, and location of the interview. Your placement specialist will follow up to hear your feedback from the interview.

Orientation with CTRN provides guidance regarding best practices while working in a private home. The final step is a thorough background investigation. Once you have begun working, we’ll follow up with ongoing support, reminders about renewing certifications, and invites to educational opportunities, conferences, and social gatherings.
