FILLED  Amazing Opportunity for Live-in Nanny  Relocation Assistance

Family with an adorable 4.5-year-old and a newborn is seeking a nurturing and fun LIVE-IN Nanny/Family Assistant to care for their children and travel between homes in Upperville, Virginia and Puerto Rico beach property. Nanny may live-in both places; however, may choose to live-out in the Virginia location. Must be able to travel frequently and have a valid passport. Ideally the nanny would stay with the family for multiple years. Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred. Must be comfortable working as part of the parenting team, be proactive, intelligent, flexible, energetic, physically active, and be able to engage in playful activities indoors and outdoors. Must be able to make quick decisions. Family will provide a private room/private bath and car in both locations. Must be a good driver with a clean record. The parents are thoughtful, respectful, loyal, and very social. They would prefer to hire someone who has similar values.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support parents with all childcare duties
  • Preparing the children for extended travel stays
  • Provide a nurturing and engaging environment for the children
  • Children’s laundry & clothing rotation
  • Being proactive and intuitive
  • Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment
  • Light housekeeping (toys, children’s beds, tiding kitchen daily, dishwasher, trash)
  • Meal preparation (light, healthy)
  • Organizational skills
  • Transportation from school to activities and home (car provided)
  • Running errands (grocery shopping etc.) as needed
  • Provide lovingly set boundaries and daily routines, collaborating with parents
  • Communicating with parents about school notes, schedules, and activities
  • Keeping track of supplies and reordering or purchasing as needed
  • Encourage age-appropriate developmental activities
  • Provide opportunities for structured and unstructured play
  • Arts & crafts

SCHEDULE

  • Monday through Friday 7:00 am-3:00 pm
  • Guaranteed 40 hours (45-50 hours normally)
  • Weekends and date nights occasionally
  • Must be flexible to needed adjustments to the schedule

Requirements:

  • 2-4+ years of childcare experience (ideally in a private home)
  • Infant and Toddler experience preferred
  • English and Spanish
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proper documentation to work in the U.S.
  • Minimum High School, College preferred
  • Verifiable references
  • Driver’s license
  • Good driving record
  • Good Swimmer
  • CPR/1st Aid Certified
  • Responsible & highly reliable
  • Non-smoker
  • Vaccinated for COVID-19
  • Must follow the family’s requirements for COVID-19 safety
  • Background Investigation

Compensation

  • $23-$28 per hour DOE
  • 10 days paid vacation
  • 7 paid holidays
  • W-2 position
