Nanny with special needs experience in caring for children with special needs, particularly those with ADHD and developmental delays. The role primarily involves caring for two wonderful children: a 4-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl. The Nanny candidate will be available from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, prioritize safety, swim, and hold a valid driver’s license. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of two remarkable children within a supportive family environment.

Nanny Responsibilities:
• Provide dedicated care and support to the 4-year-old boy, who attends Brighton Center School until 4:00 PM M-F
• Supervise and engage the boy in various activities, inside and outside of the home, ensuring his safety and well-being.
• Implement strategies to manage ADHD symptoms and developmental delays effectively.
• Facilitate speech and occupational therapy exercises as recommended.
• Accompany the child to therapies and appointments as required.Amazing Nanny
• Assist with fine motor skill activities and mealtimes, considering his attention and motor skill challenges.
• Encourage his love for exploration, play, and physical activities while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
• Act as a liaison between school, therapists, and the parents as required.
• Prepare the child to enter school
• Engage with the 9-year-old girl, nurturing her creativity and supporting academic interests.
• Supervise and participate in her recreational activities, fostering a positive sibling relationship.
• Encourage independence and responsibility in the girl while providing guidance and mentorship.
• Provide light meals for the children
• Light housekeeping (mostly child related)
• Assist with bath and bedtime routines

Qualifications:
• Nanny Experience and/or Applied Behavior Analyst

• Experience working with children with ADHD and developmental delays.  Nanny with Special Needs
• College preferred
• Strong understanding of child development and behavior management techniques.
• Clear and concise communication skills to collaborate with parents, therapists, and other professionals.
• Must be proactive and independent
• Swimming proficiency is required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record for transportation needs.
• Reliable transportation
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing demeanor are essential.

 

Schedule and Compensation:
• Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM (flexibility required).
