FILLED – An active, kind-hearted family with three beautiful children (10.5, 8.5, and 5-years old) and two gentle German shepherds is seeking a warm, collaborative, and intuitive live-in Family Assistant/Nanny in Danby, VT (05739) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danby,_Vermont. The ideal candidate will be willing to help with caring for and teaching kids, running/maintaining a household, and various family, home, pet and organizational activities. Both parents work outside the home and really need a team player who is intuitive, a self-starter, and has a strong moral compass. Must be a safe driver with a clean driving record and have experience driving in heavy snow. Family will provide a vehicle with snow tires.

The family home sits on top of a mountain with gorgeous views of 24 private acres with an apple orchard, hiking trails to a creek, and private swimming pond, beach, dock, and paddle boat! Location is perfect for nature lovers, studying, and independent working. Shopping and extracurriculars are within 25-45 minutes. New York City and Boston are about 3 hours away. The family is LDS (Mormon) and the children attend a Christian School. Relocation/travel assistance will be provided.

A typical day starts with getting kids/snacks ready and out the door for school. (Parents drive them). Nanny picks up from school (3 days per week) and drives the kids to & from sports, activities, assists with homework after school, and prepares dinner. (Occasional other days if needed) The children’s activities include: Horseback riding, Barrel Racing, Rodeo, Ballet, Flag Football, Karate, Gymnastics and all three are good students.

Daily duties needed as Family Assistant for items such as laundry, tidying, grocery shopping, cooking, household, office organization, errands and varying other weekly tasks. Light housekeeping most days with extra help in the bathrooms. (Family has a housekeeper) Additional assistant will be needed during transition to summer activities and sports schedules, occasional weekends for date nights/dog sitting/parties/ or extra parental help if family or Mom/Dad is out of town overnight. Potentially to grow into an office position in the business if interested.

Very private accommodations include a furnished bedroom with bathroom, on separate floor from the rest of the family – basement entrance, king sized bed with full marble bathroom, home gym and second living room, and guest accommodations. All of the previous nannies have become like family and are still in touch with the family!
