FILLED  UPDATE! Location New Braunfels, TX. LIVE-IN or LIVE-OUT! This family needs a super loving nanny to help care for their (3) children ages 7, 5, and 2 years old. The oldest is more like 3-4 year old. He had a traumatic brain injury at birth and is developmentally delayed. He struggles with impulse control and verbal skills. He is not currently in school; however, the parents hope to enroll both of the older children next fall. Mom is home and has some health issues and really needs someone who can help manage the children’s day-to-day activities. Must be a good driver and have reliable transportation. The ideal candidate will have special needs experience or be a Registered Behavioral Technician. Must be mature, have patience, be trustworthy, speak English fluently and Spanish would be a plus. Gas allowance and gym membership Position starts immediately. Relocation assistance provided for live-in candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support parents with all childcare duties
  • Provide a nurturing and engaging environment for the children
  • Children’s laundry & clothing rotation
  • Being proactive and intuitive
  • Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment
  • Light housekeeping (toys, children’s beds, tiding kitchen daily, dishwasher, trash)
  • Meal preparation (light, healthy)
  • Organizational skills 
  • Transportation to activities and therapies
  • Running errands (grocery shopping etc.) as needed
  • Encourage age-appropriate developmental activities
  • Provide opportunities for structured and unstructured play
  • Arts & crafts 

SCHEDULE

  • Start: ASAP
  • Monday-Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (Flexible)
  • Occasional nights and weekends (with notice)

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of childcare experience (ideally in a private home)
  • Special Needs experience preferably and RBT would be a huge plus!
  • English (Bilingual Spanish would be a plus!)
  • Proper documentation to work in the U.S.
  • Minimum High School, College preferred
  • Verifiable references
  • Driver’s license
  • Good driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • CPR/1st Aid Certified
  • Punctual & highly reliable
  • Non-smoker
  • Vaccinated for COVID-19
  • Must follow the family’s requirements for COVID-19 safety
